When I opened Many Paths Bookstore last June, I had no idea how truly delightful it would be to learn about so many different religions, traditions and spiritual practices. Every day, I get to listen to many women and men of all faiths and backgrounds discuss their philosophies about spirit, life, immortality, happiness, service….the list goes on ad infinitum. For those who choose to browse peacefully or immerse themselves in a book that seemed to draw them in, it is such a joy to see the smiles on their faces as they take time away from a busy world. It is evidence of the Presence of Grace.

At this time of year, as for all religious holy days, the Presence of Grace is most tangible. We experience and are willing to express greater love, kindness and compassion. Giving is as fulfilling as receiving. We think of others before ourselves. The joy of a holy season allows us to reflect upon our lives and upon the condition of the world. To spread joy, love or peace is the Infinite Flow of Grace in and through each one of us as we are meant to be. We give way to the Kingdom as It unveils Its Glory through all that we say, in the way we show affection, when we wrap those goodies for our friends and families.

Shopping for the season is clearly underway at the store. While I’m grateful for every shining soul that graces our doorstep, for I relish in their delight as they wander through the many paths, I want to remember the approaching spiritual celebration. I know that Grace moves us to connect with those we love easily, and for those who challenge us, we draw upon the infinite well of patience within us. This season is for each one of us to remember our Divine birth right by freely giving and receiving abundantly, joyfully and with a heart overflowing in peace. Remember to live in rich blessing, to share in glad tidings.
