Walter
Reed Middle School’s “OLIVER” Will
Tug at Your Heartstrings
The
award-winning Walter Reed Middle School Music Department is presenting
“OLIVER”, Wednesday, February 11th and Thursday, February
12th, 2004, at 7:00 PM, in the Walter Reed Middle School
Auditorium.
“OLIVER” with music and lyrics by Lionel Bart is a
musical adaptation of the Charles Dickens’ Classic “Oliver Twist” about an ill-treated London
waif who is dragged into a life of crime when he is befriended by a gang
of youthful pickpockets.
The Reed production of “OLIVER” is under the
direction of Danielle Gordon, with vocal direction by Janice Kueppers,
orchestra conducted by Stephan McDonough, and choreography by Danielle
Morreale. Costumes are
executed by Cindy Lewis; sets by David Kanoy and Cliff Muller with Art
Design by Nicole Green. The
entire production is being overseen by Yolanda Gardea.
Tickets for “OLIVER” are $10 for adults, $5 for
students. Proceeds go to funding the Walter Reed Music Department.
Walter Reed Middle School is located at 4525 Irvine
