With
National
Arts &
Humanities
Month
right
around
the
corner,
now is a
great
time to
celebrate
the
revitalization
of NoHo
as a
livable
and
lovable
destination
for arts
and
culture.
The way
the NoHo
Arts
District
has
grown
and
continues
to bloom
is still
incredible
to me,
and I’m
very
proud to
be a
part of
its
renaissance.

It’s
important
to me
that the
arts are
alive
and well
in North
Hollywood,
centered
around a
transit
system
that’s
convenient
and easy
to use.
That’s
why I’ve
lent my
support
to the
mixed-use
NoHo
Commons
project,
which
brings
the
galleries
and
theaters
of the
NoHo
Arts
District
together
with the
Metro
Red and
Orange
Lines,
attractive
housing,
and
entertainment
to
create
the
ideal
place to
live,
work,
and
play.
The NoHo
Gateway,
set to
break
ground
following
this
year’s
NoHo
Scene
Festival,
along
with
beautification
such as
the
colorful
crosswalks
and
great
new
landscaping
lets
everyone
who
passes
through
know
that
they’re
surrounded
by a
center
of arts
and
creativity.
Through
the
Cultural
& Arts
Retention
Project,
we’re
helping
to keep
arts and
cultural
organizations
such as
the
Antaeus
Company,
Road
Theatre,
Deaf
West,
InterAct,
and the
NoHo
Arts
Network
in the
neighborhood.
The NoHo
BID
Clean &
Safety
Team,
launched
late
last
year, is
an
important
part of
keeping
the Arts
District
a safe,
enjoyable
place to
be. It
was a
group
effort,
as we
brought
together
the
resources
of the
Community
Redevelopment
Agency
with the
property
owners
and
businesses
of the
Arts
District
to make
it
happen.
Helping
the NoHo
Arts
District
grow is
one of
my
proudest
achievements
as
councilmember
of the
Fourth
District.
Let’s
continue
to work
together
toward
the
future
of the
arts in
Los
Angeles,
and
let’s
continue
to enjoy
and love
the NoHo
Arts
District!
