The Mid-Town North Hollywood Neighborhood
Council filled two seats and is planning
co-sponsorship of a town hall. The Religious
Institution seat will be filled by Pastor
Jerrell Walls of Christ Community Church. He
is joined by Frank Mihelcic who will occupy
the District #4 Resident seat. Still waiting
to be filled are the District #1 Business
seat, District #3 business seat, Chamber of
Commerce seat and a Community Organization
seat.
The Southeast Valley
Vision Town Hall is planned in February with
five local neighborhood councils
co-sponsoring. In addition to the MTNHNC are
Greater Toluca Lake, Valley Village and
Greater Valley Glen neighborhood councils.
The Studio City Neighborhood Council will
consider participation at its next meeting.
Currently being planned,
the town hall will focus on the four large
projects proposed for the southeast Valley.
Representing an investment of $5billion,
they include NBC/Universal City, NoHo Wave,
NoHo Walk and Valley Plaza Shopping Center.
In addition to the
developers, the town hall will include local
politicians, and public agencies in a
discussion of how the community would be
transformed should the projects continue as
planned. More information and outreach will
be provided by late January. Additional info
