NoHo will now have a casual beer and wine
bar that it can call its own with this
month’s grand opening of Liquid Lounge Too,
12518 Burbank Boulevard, North Hollywood, at
the corner of Burbank and Whitsett
(818-509-1938).
It will be a place to not only hear live
music, but also to enjoy a huge beer
selection, fine wines and cheeses, satellite
TV’s and free wireless Internet. There will
also be daily drink specials and a wine
club.
The original Liquid Lounge (www.liquidloungelongbeach.com,
at 3522 E. Anaheim St., Long Beach, CA) has
become a landmark over the past several
years, bringing the folks in Long Beach the
finest in live music, D.J.s, great food and
drinks served in a great atmosphere.
Owner Diane George has no doubt that her
brand new Liquid Lounge Too will become just
as popular with the people in North
Hollywood. (NoHo-ans know a thing or two
about good music, great food and drinks!)
While living in the bay area, Diane always
longed to have her own bar or coffee house.
Five years ago she was able to make that
dream a reality in Long Beach with the
opening of Liquid Lounge.
She then had the idea to have a weekly
showcase of local area singer-songwriters so
that they could have a venue to showcase
their original material. Within no time, it
grew from one night a week to the current,
regularly scheduled, two nights a week.
Musicians now come from all over Southern
California to perform at the Liquid Lounge.
Kelly’s Lot (www.kellyslot.com), the
legendary blue-rock band that is based in
NoHo, will christen the Liquid Lounge Too,
with its first night of music, “Sunday
Session”, on Sunday, October 30 at 6:00 PM.
Don’t miss it.
The Grand Opening Party will be on Friday,
November 11th, at 7:00 PM. There will be
complimentary appetizers and champagne. DJ
Scotty will be starting at 9PM.
