Beverly Garland is probably best known as Fred MacMurray's wife on the long running television series "My Three Sons" and as Kate Jackson's mother on "Scarecrow and Mrs. King," which are both currently in syndication. Beverly's recent movie for television include starring roles in "Finding the Way Home" with George C. Scott (ABC) and "The World's Oldest Living Bridesmaid" with Donna Mills (CBS). She also got back to the boards in "The Gin Game," co-starring Ed Nelson in New York's famous Catskills. She traveled to Russia in 1993 where she filmed the Roger Corman feature "Haunted Symphony," in which she co-stars. She has also recently guest starred on the hit series' "Friends," "Ellen," and "Diagnosis Murder," and appeared as Lois' mom on ABC's "Lois and Clark." Beverly currently has recurring roles on the WB's "7th Heaven" and ABC's "Port Charles."

Born October 17th in Santa Cruz, California, Ms. Garland always knew she wanted to be an actress, however achieving that goal took some time. It also took training, patience, and passing through several odd jobs (most notably as a waitress, as an elevator operator, and a mail girl at a mortuary) to support herself until her professional acting break came.

She made her motion picture debut in the 1950 feature film "DOA" Today she has more than 400 television and film roles to her credit. Some of her most memorable performances include her starring role in "Decoy," as television's first policewoman, her co-starring role as Bing Crosby's wife on the "Bing Crosby Show," and guest starring roles on countless other series including "Gunsmoke," "Trapper John M.D.," "Magnum P.I.;" and "Medic," in which she portrayed a young mother stricken with leukemia and received an Emmy nomination for.

Garland received a star in her name on the world famous Hollywood Walk of Fame, and honor bestowed by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce for her work in film and television.

When not before the cameras, Ms. Garland is the driving force behind her Beverly Garland Hotel in North Hollywood, which recently teamed with the Holiday Inn Worldwide. The 258-room hotel, built by Beverly's husband Filmore Crank in 1972, is still owned and operated by Beverly and her family. Says Beverly of the change, "While our new name is Beverly Garland's Holiday Inn, the ownership remains unchanged. We are very excited about this because, in addition to the personal attention we've always provided our guests, we now offer many other conveniences and special offers."

In 1984, Ms. Garland was appointed to serve on the California Tourism Corporation Board of Directors, where she aids in efforts to maintain California's place in the increasingly competitive tourism market. She is also the spokesperson for the National Tour Association's Travel for Tomorrow public service advertising campaign and was chosen as NTA's 1985 Travel Leader of the Year.

Additionally, Ms. Garland is a member of the Greater Los Angeles Convention Bureau's Board of Directors and a former member of the Bureau's Executive Committee.

Beverly makes her home in the Hollywood Hills. She and her late husband, Filmore Crank, have four children.

Beverly loves to shop and decorate - and redecorate - both her home and her hotel.
