Hi everybody,
This Saturday, November 12th is shaping up to be a big day for NoHo. The free Experience Noho Arts Festival runs from Noon-8p with all kinds of live dance, theater, art, entertainment and more. I'm excited to announce I'll be putting on a charity run walk that morning before the festival starts at 10a. It's called The Experience Noho 3K Run-Walk and 100% of the proceeds are benefiting the Dubnoff Center for Child Development. Dubnoff has been a staple North Hollywood organization for over 60 years now. They help serve kids of all ages with special needs. If you haven't registered for the run-walk yet, here's the link: www.nohorunwalk.eventbrite.com It's only $15..c'mon you can do it!

We all have our favorite snacks and desserts that we crave. We all over-eat, especially in front of the TV or after a long, stressful day. But too much chronic overeating and indulging can lead to weight gain, sickness, and depression. When you are getting ready to eat, ask yourself, "Why am I eating this meal?". Is it to provide energy for your workday ahead? Is it to recover after a tough workout? Is it so you have antioxidants to fight off free radicals? Is it for the fiber to help clear out the cholesterol in your body? Whatever the case, each meal and snack you eat should have meaning attached to it.

Time to exchange that poker face for a sweaty face! Try this fun workout for a change of pace, you'll get your heart rate up, burn calories, and tone your body up. If you have a deck of cards handy you can do this workout almost anywhere. You have to be committed to doing at least half the deck solo, or the full deck if your with a workout buddy. Ok, here we go...shuffle them up.....lets workout!

Alleviate poor circulation, sore joints, swelling and just feeling "blah" by doing some simple exercises on your next long flight. If anything, you'll entertain your fellow passengers around you.
Mothers..pat yourselves on the back. You've always said "Sit up Straight", and sitting up straight is indeed very important, especially as we spend more and more time in front of our computers. A slouched sitting posture not only affects your back, but your neck as well, and interupts proper breathing.
