Last time we talked about some simple decorating ideas.   But what if you want to create something a little more elaborate?  Let’s go back and address that wreath for the front door for example.

Last time it was a simple idea by adding some metallic paint and holly branches and berries.  What about changing it up a bit and making a more traditional looking wreath?  Let’s start with the Styrofoam wreath again. Any size will work; just choose the appropriate size to fit your project.   I’d still paint the wreath with a base color.  Now add some more branches mixed with the holly for a fuller look.  Then add some pine cones, berries, a few small ornaments and a festive bow and ribbon.  Remember, you can add just about anything to make the wreath your own creation.   Try using non-traditional holiday colors to spice things up.  Not everyone uses red and green to decorate during the holidays.  Some actually decorate to match their everyday color scheme.  Most all of the items needed for this project can be found at your local craft store.  Be creative and have fun with this project.  This is something the whole family can enjoy together.
