Play Reading Series
Submissions are not limited to WIT members;
and, whether serious, comic, old classics or brand new, our Play Reading
Series offers everyone a chance to get involved. This free program is
designed to help realize the playwright’s voice and vision and offers
writers a nurturing and hands-on opportunity to examine their work.
The WIT Chair reviews
all submissions and decides the date for the reading. Casting is done in
advance by coordinator.
Once a month, actors,
writers and directors get together to read and discuss a pre-chosen play
or play excerpts. Each session begins with a "meet and greet" half-hour,
giving everyone a chance to get acquainted.
For those not cast in
the main reading at the end of the evening, members are invited to bring
unrehearsed monologues 5- 10 minute pieces they would like to present to
an audience.
Whether themes, characters
or production strategy are discussed, lively conversations are a hallmark of this series
and are always insightful and exciting.

Quarterly Meetings
Don’t miss
our quarterly membership meetings – a great way for new and
future members to meet our Board of Directors and current members. These meetings
also offer current members a chance to meet new people, rekindle old friendships and
re-energize themselves and their career goals.
Our meetings frequently
have entertainment provided, as well as providing a copy of the WIT Newsletter, project
flyers, by-laws and other information for perusal. WIT’s Quarterly Meetings are full
of fun, refreshments and great folks… AND, they’re free!
